Henrik Moltke joins Drumbeat team

I’m happy to announce that Henrik Moltke will be joining our Drumbeat team later this month (see his blog post). Working from Mozilla’s Paris office, Henrik’s first task is to identify a handful of top notch open web projects in Europe. In particular, he’ll be looking for projects that integrate open web technology with art, journalism and other areas that will bring new kinds of contributors into Mozilla and Drumbeat.

Henrik is our first ‘project producer’: a person who’s primary role is to hunt down, build up and support great projects. We chose Henrik quite carefully. Europe will be of critical importance for Drumbeat, so we wanted someone with strong European networks who spoke many languages. Also, reaching out beyond Mozilla’s traditional tech circles into places like arts, culture and journalism will also be critical. As a former journalist, filmmaker and Creative Commons country lead, Henrik is well positioned to help Drumbeat on both of these fronts. Which has me pretty excited. Please welcome Henrik.
